Black Rock Shooter: Nendonesia’s Best Nendoroid for 2010

Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter is kinda nervous in front of the camera

We have closed the poll for Nendonesia’s best Nendoroid of 2010 which had been running for a week and participated by 165 Nendonesians. Yep, I think you can already guess the winner: Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter. The cannon-wielder swordwoman win by quite some margin – the runner up only got less then 50% of her votes. ^^;

Anyway, here is complete listing of the ten nominee:

  1. Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter – 49 votes (30%)
  2. Nendoroid Nakano Azusa – 21 votes (13%)
  3. Nendoroid Amano Tooko – 20 votes (12%)
  4. Nendoroid Snow Miku – 20 votes (12%)
  5. Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition – 19 votes (12%)
  6. Nendoroid Remilia Scarlet – 9 votes (5%)
  7. Nendoroid Sherlock Shellinford (Sharo) – 8 votes (5%)
  8. Nendoroid Minami Chiaki – 5 votes (3%)
  9. Nendoroid Kochiya Sanae – 4 votes (2%)
  10. Nendoroid Izayoi Sakuya – 3 votes (2%)

Well, 2010 is really the year of Black Rock Shooter, so it is not a shocking result. Nendoroid BRS looks like a complete bargain – 3500 Yen (or less, if you get the discounted one) for a bunch of body parts, accessories, and bundled DVD of the OVA. So … congratulations, BRS-chan! You deserved the Nendonesia’s Best Nendoroid 2010 award. (≧∇≦)/

Anyway, there are 7 of you who opted for “Others”, and I wonder what your fave Nendoroid are. Care to share it in the comments? What do you think about the polling result, Nendonesian? ^^

Solution for Nendoroid Hinagiku’s Face Plate Issue?

Face-plate-attaching problem on Nendoroid Katsura Hinagiku

Face-plate-attaching problem on Nendoroid Katsura Hinagiku

It seems that many customers who purchased Nendoroid Katsura Hinagiku are complaining about difficulty on attaching/detaching the face plate off Hinagiku’s head. Yukiwo Ageta has just proposed a solution which might be able to solve that issue. Here is the translated tweet of Ageta-san:

If you buy from daisy Nendoroid, many voices will be asked to do difficult and tight face recombination. Because I like a harder material itself. Please try and hand-painted cream and toothpick grooves to receive portions of the ribs of the face. Much easier.

Yeah, I know that the translation is kinda messy, but I think I can get the general idea. Basically we simply need to smear some kind of hand lotion to a toothpick and put it on the plug holes at Hinagiku’s head, so that the face plate could slide into the head easily.

I have not received my ordered Nendoroid Katsura Hinagiku yet, so I cannot confirm that Ageta-san’s solution would work. For you who have played with Hinagiku and got this problem, well, now you know how to fix it. ^^

Nendoroid 98: Usa Mimi

For those who hate reading english, go to www.nekoroid.com for Indonesian language.  Else, keep reading 🙂

Also, I apologize for the photo quality.
Since my photography skill already suck to begin with. So go ahead, please blame my shitty equipment :p

I actually already got this Nendoroid for a long time ago, decided to put her in overprice tag because I don’t wanna her get sold, if someone eventually buy it, oh well… (But as I expected, no one insterested :D)

Anyway, Usa Mimi (her full name mean: Rabbit Ear, btw :p) Is a character from Kodomo no Jikan. She’s one of the trio “little rascal”, the other two are Kokonoe Rin and Kagami Kuro. Rin and Kuro already released, so Mimi is the last one.

Nendoroid 121: Saber (Super Movable Edition)

Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition

Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition

Note: This review will be a lengthy one, because I have a lot of things to be written about this Nendoroid, not to mention some “technical” issues that I faced during the reviewing process. ^^

I know that Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition has been released for a while and most of you might have played around with her. Actually I just got mine back then in mid December due to some shipping delay. Anyway, this is my second Saber figurine – the first being Nendoroid Saber Lion and somehow I overlooked Nendoroid Saber Lily. ^^;

As her product name suggested, Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition a.k.a Saber FA (full action) is the first regular-sized Nendoroid (Petit Hachune Miku is the first super movable Nendoroid) who has extraordinary joints and body structures which (supposedly) features more articulation flexibility.

OK, enough with the introduction; let’s get directly to the in-depth review after the break. ^^

EDIT: Wrong numbering fixed (Thanks, Monchan!)

Happy New Year 2011!

An inspirational New Year quotes:

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!

Nendonesia wishes you a Happy New Year 2011, Nendonesian! May your Nendoroid be in good health as always through out the year and hopefully they get more friend in the new year. ^^

Nendoroid Sherlock Shellingford (Sharo) boxset

Nendoroid Sherlock Shellingford (Sharo) with the PSP game of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes boxset has finally arrived on my desk. I have not opened the boxset yet because I am still busy with some stuff, i.e the New Year celebration party. ^^

Anyway, I will try to write up an in-depth review on this cute Nendoroid as soon as I have some spare time – probably next week. So how about yours, Nendonesian? Have you received your Sharo-chan and played with her yet?

This is Nendoroid Hatsune Miku HMO Edition’s Box

Box of Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition

Box of Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition

I know you have been waiting for this one, especially when GSC decided to delay its release from December 2010 to January 2011. Yep, now you know how Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition‘s box looks like. Apparently, the box is not using a black background color like the other Nendoroid from Vocaloid, although it sure keeps the white grids. ^^

What do you think, Nendonesian? Do you like the box design?

Nendoroid Sharo: PSP Bundle vs Animation Version

Nendoroid Sherlock Shellingford

Nendoroid Sherlock Shellingford

A closer pic of the uncolored Nendoroid Sherlock Shellingford (Sharo/Syaro) TV Animation version from Tantei Opera Milky Holmes brings us to compare it against its PSP bundle counterpart. Well, according to my own perspective, here are some differences that I noticed on the animation version:

  • New face/expression drawing style
  • Shorter hair
  • Larger attached ribbon on the hat
  • Chubbier body
  • No magnifier – probably included as accessories
  • Shoes/boots design is slightly different
  • The pricing (obviously! ^^)

So how do you compare both of them, Nendonesian? Any other things that I missed?
