Hatsune Miku: Cheerful Japan version

Did you recall the illustration contest for Cheerful Japan x Hatsune Miku that was announced last month? Yes, that collaboration project between GSC and pixiv. Well, they have got a winner: an illustration by bun150 – yup, the one you see in the pic above.

As stated in the contest description, the winning illustration will be made into both 1/8 scaled figure and Nendoroid Petit. I have no idea about the naming though, but let’s assume it to be Nendoroid Petit Hatsune Miku: Cheerful Japan version. ^^

For you who are interested to purchase it, here is a little info about its availability: the Petit is going to be bundled with Quarterly pixiv vol.08, which is scheduled for Spring 2012 release. ^^

Anyone interested? Personally, I do interested to get the Petit, but I think I will wait until I see how the Petit rendetion will look like. XD

Apart from the Cheerful Japan extras, there are other differences as well: this version of Rin and Len will use a plug-in stand a la Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version … and there will be a slight tweak on both Rin and Len’s head to allow them to use expressions from other Nendoroid, unlike the old one. ^^

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version will be Sold at LA ANIME EXPO

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version

Well, you read the title – Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version will be put on sale at Mikunopolis 2011 booth at the Los Angeles ANIME EXPO. Although the official pricing has not been revealed yet, they did mention that for every sale of the figure, 1000 Yen will be donated to Japanese Red Cross to aid the relief efforts in Eastern Japan.

In a side note, I thought GSC mentioned that charity products will be a made-to-order basis, but now we are seeing Miku to be sold out of the web pre-orders. Inconsistency? Well, in any case, I hope GSC will expand the charity product sales outside their own web pre-order. ^^

Well, what do you think, Nendonesian?

(Thanks for the news tip, Otaku00! ^^)
