Nendoroid Planet Photo Contest

Nendoroid Planet's photocon banner

Nendoroid Planet's photocon banner

If you recall our review of the iOS app Nendoroid Planet a few months ago, there is a section titled “The MUSEUM” with 2 sub-section: “Catalog” and “3D Models“. In 3D Models, we can view the 3D-rendered models of a few Nendoroid. Beside zooming and rotating, we can also take photos of the 3D Nendoroid with our environment as the photo background.

Yep, this capability is now being featured as a photo contest. The main rules is simple: submit one photo of 3D-rendered Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter or Nendoroid Dead Master, taken with Nendoroid Planet app. The submission has been started on August 31 and will end on September 22. The prize for best photo submission is a BRS illustration made and signed by huke, plus a signature of Sakamoto Maaya! The winner will also get a copy of PSP game Black Rock Shooter: The GAME. Wooot! (o . o)/

The bad news is … well, the contest is only applicable for Japan citizen. That’s it – international participants are not eligible to participate in the photocon. Awww … (-_-“)

Well, what do you think, Nendonesian? ^^

Anyway, what do we have here? Nendoroid Army-san: Desert version has finally made it to Mikatan’s blog for a quick preview session. Although we have already seen her parts and accessories previously, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to see her again, albeit with the original Nendoroid Army-san. XD

Custom Nendoroid Ivan Karelin from Tiger & Bunny

Custom Nendoroid Ivan "Origami Cyclone" Karelin

Custom Nendoroid Ivan "Origami Cyclone" Karelin

Someone has apparently interested to make a Nendoroid rendetion out of Tiger & Bunny characters. Yep, what you see above is a custom-made Nendoroid Ivan Karelin (a.k.a Origami Cyclone), one of the heroes in the anime. As you can see in the pic, Ivan’s eyes design look really nice there, not to mention the awesome details on his hair and outfits. Whoever made this Nendoroid, he has done a really good job re-producing the character into Nendoroid. ^^

Well, what do you think, Nendonesian? Are you curious to see characters from Tiger & Bunny being made into Nendoroid? ^^

Happy Birthday, Hatsune Miku!

Miku's birthday!? XD

Miku's birthday!? XD

Hatsune Miku was officially released on August 31, four years ago,  as a singing synthesizer with female persona. So … why 20th birthday instead of 4th? Well, when she was released back then on 2007, her personal data sheet mentioned that her age is 16, hence she turns 20 today. Apparently, as a virtual idol, Miku is forever 16, hence the correct statement is: Happy 4th Anniversary, Hatsune Miku! ^^

In order to celebrate Miku’s birthday, I have setup a simple, quick party for her earlier. Well, I apologize for the simple party – I promise to organize a proper party next time. XD

Nendoroid Gumako: Cheerful version

As we have known, the 2nd Nendoroid from Cheerful JAPAN project – Nendoroid Gumako: Cheerful version is scheduled for September release in Japan (or October for international shipment). Naturally, GSC has already received the production samples of the GSC mascot’s Nendoroid rendetion by now, and president Aki has just posted a pic of Gumako’s box. XD

As expected, the #200 Nendoroid box is filled with a lot of smiles there. Yep, aside from being part of Cheerful JAPAN project, the Nendoroid is made to celebrate GSC’s 10th anniversary. ^^

Now I cannot wait to play with the adorable Nendoroid, which is also in my wishlist for a while. What about you, Nendonesian? ^^
