Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Cheering version

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Cheering version

UPDATE: “Cheering version” has been changed to “Support version” to reflect on Mikatan’s English blog post

Mikatan has just posted an announcement regarding a special version of Nendoroid Hatsune Miku, made to support/cheer the victim of recent tsunami-earthquake disaster in Japan. Yes, GSC has teamed up with Crypton to create Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version, in which part of its sales would be donated to the Red Cross.

Aside from the parts of the original one, Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version would have a few new accessories (pom pom and a note-flag) to play with, as well as a happy smile expression. It looks like she is saying “Ganbatte ne, minna-san! You are not alone!”. ^^

More pics and availability info after the break.

Nendoroid 150: Snow Miku – Tanoshii Yukiasobi Edition (Special Review)

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition

OK, before we get into the review, allow me to explain what this “Special Review” is all about. A special review is a review which is created either by request, occassional condition, or used for unusual purposes, including reviews written by guest authors.

Regarding our first special review here for Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition (Tanoshii Yukiasobi Edition), it is requested personally by Stephen A.Q. He asked me to take photos and review his newly arrived snow fairy, because he couldn’t wait to unbox it and wanted to “record” the unboxing moment in a form of a review – I know he did have other purposes for this as well. In any case, slide past the break to view the complete review. ^^

To celebrate the recently-released Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition, I have written a special review of the original Nendoroid Snow Miku. Actually, Nendoroid Snow Miku was released to commemorate the Snow Miku sculpture on last year’s 61st Sapporo Snow Festival – yes, in similar fashion as the upcoming Snow Playtime Edition. ^^

Well then, without further ado, let’s dig into the full review after the break. ^^

Happy (Belated) Birthday, Megurine Luka!

Luka-tachi!

Luka-tachi!

Note: Pardon me for having figma Megurine Luka inside the photo … IMHO it feels incomplete for Luka-tachi without her ^^

Yeah … I know that it’s (almost) one-week past Megurine Luka‘s birthday on January 30. I did snapped a few photos at her birthday party on that day though, but I did not have any chance to post them – with so many pre-WonFes Nendoroid news storming recently. ^^;

In any case, see the photos of her birthday party after the break. ^^

DIY Nendoroid Hatsune Miku Using Ice Tray by Mikatan

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku and Hachune Miku made from coffee jelly

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku and Hachune Miku made from coffee jelly

So you have not made up your mind to pre-order Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition? Well, now you have another reason to consider pre-ordering her, thanks to Mikatan who has just posted her experiment result of making Nendoroid Hatsune Miku with the bundled ice tray. Apparently, it does not play well with normal water (ice) as we could not see Miku’s shape clearly that way. However, experimenting with other ingredients such as coffee jelly and chocolate turned out to have a better result. See Mikatan’s blog post for more details and pics. ^^

So … have you made up your mind, Nendonesian? ^^
