Nendoroid Christmas Miku to be Announced Next Week?

The announcement

A rather shocking announcement was made by GSC earlier today, stating that SEGA x GSC x Crypton will be holding an event in GSC x Karaoke no Tetsujin Cafe in Akihabara, scheduled for November 22nd at 20:00 (JST). The event itself is obviously related to Hatsune Miku, so it is conveniently dubbed as “Hatsune Miku’s Time”.

What is it all about!?

Nendoroid Mikudayo is Available for Pre-Order

Nendoroid Mikudayo

One of the creepiest cutest weirdest Nendoroid ever: Nendoroid Mikudayo-, is available for pre-order starting today.

It may not be the real Miku, but she certainly has her own charm!
From ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of the conspicuous character based on Hatsune Miku, Mikudayo-! Her flappy twin-tails that became popular at events have been faithfully recreated in Nendoroid size, and even move about in the same way as the original costume!

She also comes with optional parts, including some pop candy as a special collaboration extra between Mikudayo- and Fujiya! Enjoy posing Mikudayo- in her most famous poses, or come up with your very own original poses for her!

Yep, it seems that the ‘secret stuff’ mentioned by Mikatan on her preview is … a pop candy. XD

Nendoroid Mikudayo- is scheduled for March 2013, priced at 3000 Yen.

Anyway, this Nendoroid will also be available at the GOOD SMILE ONLINE SHOP. Orders can be placed between the 5th November 2012 (Mon) from 15:00 until the 5th December 2012 (Wed) at 21:00.

*gasp* Nendoroid Miku Dayo is Previewed by Mikatan

Nendoroid Miku Dayo

The arguably popular creepy scary weird version of Nendoroid Hatsune Miku, also known as Nendoroid Miku Dayo, is getting a preview by Mikatan. Yep, it means that she will be available for pre-order shortly. Wew … ヽ(*゚д゚)ノ

What or who is Miku Dayo, do you ask? Well, here is a quick summary by Mikatan:

(1) Sega made the ‘Project mirai’ game, featuring Nendoroid Vocaloids!
(2) A life-size Nendoroid Miku costume was made to promote the game!
(3) Everyone felt the costume didn’t quite feel like the real Miku!
(4) The costume Miku became her own character, Miku Dayo!
(5) Miku Dayo is made into a Nendoroid, completing the cycle!

That’s right, Miku Dayo is actually a life-size costume based on Nendoroid Hatsune Miku, but the misdesigned face and chubby proportion makes it so weird that it doesn’t quite feel like Miku at all. And now GSC reproduced it in real Nendoroid form, for the better … or worse. ヽ(*゚д゚)ノ

Apparently, the chubby Miku will come with ball joints in her shoulders for a wider variety of arm poses compared to normal Nendoroid. She will also bring along some optional parts, which is unfortunately not revealed yet by Mikatan.

Comparison with original Nendoroid Hatsune Miku

In any case, I think this Nendoroid is one of the worst Nendoroid I have ever seen, but that’s just my personal opinion.

What about you, Nendonesian? Are there any of you Miku fans thinking of getting this Nendoroid? XD

Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e

Yes, Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e has been announced and available for pre-order starting today. So what’s missing? A preview by Mikatan, of course! XD

As usual, there are a few interesting tidbits mentioned by Mikatan there, including the removable headphones as well as her included expressions and other optional parts.

See it for yourself by visiting Mikatan’s blog. XD

Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e is Announced and Ready for Pre-Order

Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e

The Nendoroid design for Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e was initially displayed months ago. Fast-forward to today and she is finally announced and available for pre-order!

The Vocaloid who is rapidly gaining popularity – Lily!
Lily, the Vocaloid character who is becoming more and more popular by the day, is joining the Nendoroid series!

She comes with optional parts including a microphone and speaker, which allow you to recreate the pose on the ‘VOCALOID2 Lily’ packaging! She also comes with a singing expression to pose her singing out loud, as well as an expression from ‘Harii’ the fan-made bee character based off Lily!

This cute and cool-looking Nendoroid will be manufactured by Phat Company, priced at 3500 Yen and scheduled for March 2013 release – I doubt they could release it in time though, considering their track record. XD

I am glad that GSC has finally shifted to make more Vocaloid character – especially non-Crypton characters – into Nendoroid, starting with Gakupo, GUMI, and now Lily from anim.o.v.e.

Needless to say, I am putting this Nendoroid into my wishlist. What about you, Nendonesian? What do you think about this Nendoroid? ^^

(Thanks for the news tip, Allgroasai and Jarvis Delgado!)

On top the cake stands a cute 65mm Nendoroid Petite figure of Miku wearing a choir outfit to really give an original feeling to this FamilyMart exclusive Christmas cake. Stock is limited, so if you want to grab one be sure to preorder at one of the 9100 FamilyMart stores across Japan!

The post also mentioned a few important stuff about this product:

  • Order Dates: 2nd October 2012 ~ 26th November 2012.
  • Collection Date: 24th December 2012 only.
  • Price: 3900 Yen

One of our reader, Phen posted an interesting comment about this:

You need to physically go in to the store to pick it up on the 24th in Japan, so proxies won’t really help unless you have someone to go there and pick it up for you.

I think his argument is quite sensible, because the circumstances for this product is kind of … special. XD

Well, what do you think, Nendonesian?
