Nendoroid Petit and Mini 4WD Collaboration Project is Announced

Note: This news is a week old, but I guess it is better to post it late rather than never, right? XD

In order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tamiya’s 4WD, GSC has teamed up with Tamiya and Dengeki Hobby Magazine to create a special joint product known as Nendoroid Petit x Mini 4WD. The collaboration project was announced at 51st Shizuoka Hobby Show (May 17th – 18th).

The announced line-ups are:

Nendoroid Petit Racing Miku 2012 ver. x Astute Open Top
Fate/stay night’s Nendoroid Petit Saber x Super Saber Open Top
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun’s Nendoroid Petit Mikoto Misaka x Thundershot Open Top

Yep, as you can see in the pic above, the announced Nendoroid Petits will be riding their own special mini 4WD as mentioned in the list.

Gather up, Miku fans! We have spotted another custom Nendoroid Hatsune Miku here, and this time it was inspired by a popular song from ryo/supercell.

“… hajimeru no yo kore wa sensou ureshisou na KIMI o miru nante!”

Do you recognize that lyric part? Yep, it is taken from Koi wa Sensou (a.k.a Love is War), hence we will take a glimpse at custom Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Love is War version.

Nendoroid Kamui Gakupo is Available for Pre-Order

As mentioned by Mikatan on her preview post, Nendoroid Kamui Gakupo has been ready for pre-order starting yesterday.

Here is his official description:

Gallantly riding into the Nendoroid world on his eggplant!
The popular virtual vocalist ‘Kamui Gakupo’ is joining the Nendoroids!

He comes with a variety of optional parts including his sword ‘Gakutou Mifuri’ and a singing expression that allow you to recreate the illustration from the original packaging. He also comes with a feudal lord expression and an eggplant so that you can display him riding valiantly on his eggplant mount!

Apparently, the eggplant rider will be released on September with a price tag of 3500 Yen.

Nendoroid Kamui Gakupo is finally getting a preview treatment by Mikatan. This Samurai-themed Vocaloid character, who is popular among the female fans, will bring along three expressions, his sword Gakuto Mifuri, a folding fan, and a ride-able eggplant.

Sure, this Nendoroid looks really cool and cute with all those unique hairdo, outfit, and stuff, but this is my personal favorite pose of him:

He seemed like saying, “Ohohohoho …” just like a proud feudal lord. XD

Design Contest for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 is Announced by PIAPRO

Costume design contest for Snow Miku 2013

Similar to last year, GSC and PIAPRO set up a Costume Design Contest for Nendoroid Snow Miku: 2013 version.

While the theme for last year’s costume was jewellery and crystal, this year’s emphasize is sweeteries, such as cakes, candies, and tarts. Obviously, since this is a design for SNOW Miku, those sweeties should have a snow or ice theme embedded into the design.

The contest has started since yesterday, and the deadline has not been announced yet. If you are interested to participate, you might want to see further details on the source links below.

A poster containing an unannounced Nendoroid Hatsune Miku in Family Mart (a.k.a Famima) themed outfit was spotted by a tipster earlier today. It seems that Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Family Mart version will be given away as one of seven prizes in an upcoming campaign by the store.

No other info has been announced yet, especially about the optional expressions, parts, and accessories. However, if you who can read Japanese, you might want to visit the source page for more info regarding the campaign. ^^

Nendoroid Racing Miku: 2011 version

Since 2009, Good Smile Company (GSC) and its racing team Good Smile Racing (GSR) have been annually releasing a racing-themed Hatsune Miku, including its Nendoroid version.

Last year, Nendoroid Racing Miku: 2011 version was released on October bearing a brand new design for Miku’s racing queen outfit, which was somehow seen as controversial for some fans of the virtual diva.

Well then, enough with the introduction, let’s go directly to the review, shall we? ^^
