Nendoroid 130: Makise Kurisu

Nendoroid Makise Kurisu

Nendoroid Makise Kurisu

I guess a lot of you have already familiar with Makise Kurisu, the heroine of popular sci-fi visual novel and anime Steins;Gate. I have already posted a brief description of her on my review of Nendoroid Makise Kurisu: White Coat version. XD

Nendoroid Makise Kurisu was originally released on January 2011 when the TV animation of Steins;Gate began airing. She was then re-released just in time with Nendoroid Shiina Mayuri‘s release on September 2011.

Well, actually I have already got this Nendoroid last year, around March 2011 (rather than January 2011) because of some shipping delays. Due to my laziness business, I only managed to get the review done just now. XD

Nendoroid Spider-Man: Hero’s Edition is Previewed by Mikatan

Spidey in action!

Spidey in action!

So you have watched The Amazing Spider-Man? Well, in case you really like the new movie of Spidey, you might want to see Nendoroid Spider-Man: Hero’s Edition in action, as previewed by Mikatan yesterday.

Yes, this Nendoroid is a fully-posable one, meaning that he will have more joints compared to the normal Nendoroid, that allow him to do more action poses.

Spidey will also come with a special “night street of New York” diorama pedestal, so that you can re-create the scene when he swings above the city using his webs.

See Mikatan’s blog for more pics and get ready for his pre-order to become available by next week.

Anyway, firstly I apologize if this argument annoy you, Spidey fans, but personally, the first impression I got when I saw the fully-colored version of this Nendoroid was not that great: doesn’t Spidey’s head looks like a basketball there? XD

What do you think about this Nendoroid?

Note: I just realized that the “Edition” postfix in Nendoroid product name actually indicates that it is a part of the fully-posable Nendoroid series like Saber and HMO. XD

Nendoroid Saber Lion’s Re-Sale is Official

Nendoroid Saber Lion

Nendoroid Saber Lion

Yes, the vigorous-yet-cute looking Nendoroid Saber Lion from the (4 years old) PSP game Fate/Tiger Colloseum Upper is now officially going for a re-sale!

Here is her official description:

She’s not really wearing a fluffy lion costume 😉

From the continuation of the popular comic action game “Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper” comes a Nendoroid of the popular animal character “Saber Lion”, and she moves exactly as she does in the game! Her cute appearance seems to completely contradict her vigorous facial expression. Her main weapon – the chunk of meat, as well as a bowl and chopsticks are included. Now you can take the gluttonous lion home with you!

Sadly, there is no mention regarding the improved stand base (yet). She will be available for 3000 Yen and scheduled for November re-release.

In any case, this is a really rare chance for Nendoroid fans – especially Saber fans – to grab this Nendoroid, so you should not hesitate to pre-order her as soon as possible. ^^

… so … will Nendoroid Itoshiki Nozomu get a re-release too? XD

Who is Involved in a Nendoroid Release?

Nendoroid for sale at a figure store

Various Nendoroid for sale at a figure store

Note: The topic is originally asked by Lexis from nendOtaku, a Germany-based Nendoroid blog.

If you have been collecting Nendoroid for a while, then you might have noticed that some Nendoroid boxes have another logo(s) beside Good Smile Company (GSC). They can be Max Factory, Phat Company, FREEing, or any other companies’ logo. So … who are they? Isn’t GSC the only one who make Nendoroid?

Well, in order to answer that questions, I am going to write about the parties involved for a Nendoroid release. Note that the explanation is based on my own, personal view. Therefore, it might be inaccurate in some ways or the other, but it should, hopefully, give you a bit of insight into the matter. ^^

Are you ready? Let’s get started! XD

Nendoroid Saber Lion is Following Saber Lily Towards Re-Sale Lane

Nendoroid Saber Lion

After Nendoroid Saber Lily got her re-sale announcement, I am pretty sure that most of you are hoping that Nendoroid Saber Lion will be the next in the line. XD

Well, I guess that is what GSC is planning to do so, as they displayed their upcoming re-release products in the recent Nico Nico broadcast, and Nendoroid Saber Lion were there!

Apparently, Saber Lion will also come with a new stand base (similar to Date Masamune’s case) which is supposed to be better than her old one.

No official announcement about the re-release has been made yet. Her re-release date is also missing, naturally. XD

All in all, this is a very good chance for Nendoroid collectors to grab one in case they missed the first release back then in 2008. What do you think about it, Nendonesian?

(Thanks for the news tip, Zaken Salomo!)

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version and Akemi Homura: School Uniform version are Delayed (again)

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version

The web pre-order Nendoroid from Wonderful Hobby Life for You! 15 (a.k.a last Winter WonFes) are previously scheduled for June release, and then got delayed to July 4th.

Now, both of them are getting yet another delay, as follows:

  • Nendoroid Snow Miku: Fluffy Coat version – TBA
  • Nendoroid Akemi Homura: School Uniform versionbetween July 13th – 17th

Personally, I think GSC is trying to improve the quality control of their recent goods, so I give them my respect for that. It is perfectly OK for me to wait longer to get quality products. XD

Well, what do you think about it, Nendonesian? ^^

(Custom) Nendoroid Black Frost is Spotted

Nendoroid Jack Frost and Black Frost

Nendoroid Jack Frost and Black Frost

Yes, I put the “brackets” outside the “Custom” word, because I am not sure whether this one is really a custom Nendoroid or an upcoming one – eventually. Why? Because the pics are posted in the blog run by Max Factory’s staff. The blog is intended for internal use though, so any contents posted there are usually considered as personal thought (a.k.a unofficial). XD

Well, as you can see in the pic, Nendoroid Jack Frost is standing beside an evil-looking version of him, known as Nendoroid Black Frost. If you are fans of Persona and/or Shin Megami Tensei series, I think you should have known about him. ^^

Let me take a quote from Persona 3 FES Compendium to describe him better: (reference)

“A Jack Frost that wished for evil powers. This powerful demon is born when a cute Jack Frost remembers its nature as a demon.”

Kindly see all of his pics after the break, if you are interested. ^^
